Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School

Guided Open Studio

This 6 week course is designed for students that have completed at least 2 prior Jewelry Courses who want to continue studio time with limited instruction and the company of other metals students. Prior authorization required to enroll. Students are responsible for their own materials, or may purchase them from the studio. If you can only attend part of a guided open studio session, or want to book studio time on a less frequent basis, please email Kylie at jewelry@stonybrookmass.org to discuss your options!

Available Sessions:

  • September 10th-Oct 17th- First four classes run on Tuesdays from September 10th-October 1st, and last two classes are on Thursday, October 10th, and October 17th
  • November 7th-December 19th- Thursdays, 6-9pm (Please note there is no class on Thursday, November 28th)

 

Instructor Bio:

Kylie Weinzierl is a Boston area interdisciplinary artist, with a primary focus in metalsmithing, a background in sound art, multimedia installation and fabrication, as well as glass work, textile, and performance. Kylie received a Bachelor of the Arts from Arizona State University in 2019, and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in February 2024. Kylie is the head Jewelry Instructor at Stonybrook Metal Arts & Sculpture School in Jamaica Plain and the Metals Studio Manager at Lexington Arts and Crafts Society in Lexington, MA.
